Treasurer
My name is Ingrid Ventura-Parker. I have one son currently in Kindergarten at Stoney Creek. I also have another little boy who is 2.5 and in preschool. This is our first year at Stoney Creek and we already love the teachers, students, and community. I served in the PTA at University Meadows in the previous year. I really enjoyed being able to help at my child’s school and doing my part to make the school a better and safer place for all the students. I also enjoy being able to spoil my child’s teachers, as well as other teachers. I wholeheartedly believe teachers do the Lord’s work.
I am active with our church, University City UMC. I am also on the administrative team for a local mom’s playdate group. We organize weekly meetups, a time for moms to meet and socialize with other moms while our young children make friends and play in a safe environment.

Vice President
Hi Stoney Creek family! I am Chelsea Sanders. My experience with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System began in 1993 when my oldest daughter started kindergarten. Except for three years, my family and I have been members of the CMS family since. We joined the Stoney Creek family in 2016 when my youngest son started kindergarten. He has since transitioned to middle school; however, my youngest daughter remains and is currently a fifth grader.
Prior to becoming Vice President, I served two terms as Stoney Creek’s PTA President. I was also a member of Stoney Creek's School Improvement Team for three years. Along with my service at Stoney Creek, I am the PTSA Vice President at Piedmont IB Middle School, a participant on CMS's Title I Family and Community Advisory Council, and a member of the Superintendent's Parent-Family Advisory Council. Additionally, I am a proud member of the Black Child Development Institute - Carolinas (BCDI) and Mocha Moms, Inc.
Being active in my children's educational journey is extremely important to me. I believe that greatness lies within every child. Therefore, I am intentional about remaining engaged, volunteering, and collaborating with teachers, educators, families, and community leaders to nurture the development and success of not only my children but all children.
